We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Payroll Accountant to join their team on a contract basis until February 2027. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented payroll professional to work within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Location: East London
Working Pattern: Hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 days remote)
Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum
Key Responsibilities:
* End-to-end processing of monthly payroll
* Ensuring payroll is accurate, compliant, and delivered on time
* Calculating and processing commission payments alongside standard payroll
* Managing payroll queries and resolving discrepancies efficiently
* Maintaining employee records and ensuring data integrity
* Supporting with payroll reporting and reconciliations
* Liaising with HR and Finance teams to ensure smooth payroll operations
* Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a payroll-focused role
* Strong understanding of payroll processes and statutory requirements
* Experience calculating commissions or variable pay structures
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Ability to manage deadlines and work independently
