The Role

As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you will support the day-to-day operation of a busy finance department, ensuring purchase ledger, banking and selected sales ledger tasks are completed accurately and on time.

This role works closely with both UK and international finance colleagues, providing excellent exposure across a dynamic, multi-site business.

Key Responsibilities

- Managing and responding to the AP inbox professionally and efficiently

- Processing high-volume invoices with accurate coding and workflow approvals

- Monitoring invoice approval processes to ensure timely payment

- Completing daily invoice uploads (including food & drink suppliers)

- Processing weekly payment runs (AP, team expenses) and monthly rent payments

- Handling ad-hoc and multi-currency payments -

- Reconciling supplier auto-debits and monthly statements

- Running aged reports and investigating outstanding balances

- Ensuring new supplier compliance documentation is complete

- Managing credit card reconciliations and employee expenses

- Raising sales ledger invoices and managing aged debt

- Supporting internal and external audits


About You

- Experience within Accounts Payable in a fast-paced finance environment

- Strong Excel skills

- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

- Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills

- Proactive, able to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines

- Experience within a multi-site business (desirable)
