Job Description

Our client, a fast-growing and highly regarded entity, with a fantastic reputation for providing a supportive and dynamic working environment, is looking to source a confident and credible Transactional Finance Manager to lead its talented team.

You will be responsible for the Accounts Payable and Cashiers team, supporting internal and external customer relationships and the wider financial control function.

Main duties include:
* Manage the department, acting as an escalation point for the team and wider business, establishing and maintaining key controls around safeguarding company assets including:
- Maintaining approval matric
- Ensuring appropriate GDPR controls are supported
- Adding bank details for new suppliers
- Management of banking administration and support cashflow
* Support weekly payments runs
* Manage creditors to ensure invoices are kept up to 30 days
* Provide support for all aspects of cash items
* Review and sign off monthly supplier and balance sheet reconciliations
* Develop and implement new processes
* Mentoring the team, training and regular 1-1 sessions

Knowledge & skills required:
* Strong transactional background and team management in a fast-paced environment
* Exposure to basic accounting procedures, i.e. balance sheet reconciliations
* Systems savvy and good/intermediate level of Excel
* Excellent attention to detail and strong time management
* Professional and proactive approach with a proven ability building relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders
* Consistently strives to improve existing processes and focuses on efficiency
* Supportive and intuitive leader, who encourages team to share in success and continuously develop
