Senior Payroll Clerk- Temp-Perm- St Albans

Our client, a well-established and reputable entity, is seeking a Senior Payroll Clerk on a temporary contract initially, with the view to the opportunity becoming permanent for the right candidate. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Payroll professional to join a friendly and supportive organisation.

Key Responsibilities
-Processing client payroll
-Assisting payroll clerk's with queries
-Driving learning and development within the team
-Ensuring the required statutory information is listed on the Payroll system
-Submitting the required HMRC data
-Ensuring compliance is continually met including end of year compliance

Due to the nature of the vacancy, only those who are immediately available will be considered. The successful candidate will be a confident individual who has two years' experience in a senior payroll post. You will be proficient in word and excel with experience in payroll software and the ability to adapt to new software where required. You will possess the ability to calculate tax and NI, with a good understanding of statutory payments. Experience in processing salary sacrifice payments would be advantageous, as would an understanding of the preparation of management accounts.
