A true leader in their field, a FTSE 250 Consumer Goods organisation seeks a highly ambitious and driven, commercially focussed Senior FP&A Manager to join their modern and dynamic finance function.
The Senior FP&A Manager reports to the Director of FP&A but is aligned to the UK business unit, partnering with the UK Finance Director to deliver against our performance targets for the year. The role is responsible for the in-year Business Performance Management processes in the UK, ranging from monthly performance reporting and forecasting to managing our planning system (Hyperion). As a senior manager, the role can also expect to be active in creating and delivering change resulting from Finance Roadmap.
Drive the performance of BU through continuous insight & challenge.
-Understand financial performance, driving and tracking actions to deliver our big priorities and key targets.
-Create a clear and coherent story of performance and actions for use within the business unit and at a group level.
-Deep dive analysis into performance issues.
-Link external data with internal financial performance.
Process owner for financial forecasting processes in the BU (including cross over activities with other business units).
-Complete the monthly rolling forecast and track risks & opportunities, identifying what options are available to deliver the plan each month.
-Communicate with relevant business functions on timetables & requirements.
-Ensure the forecasting process is fit for purpose, governed and documented appropriately.
-Work with the FP&A Senior Manager for Long Term Planning to ensure the Budget is completed robustly and ready for in-year performance tracking & understanding.
Finance process owner for commercial reporting and planning systems.
-Deliver standardised reporting on time each month, governing report change requests accordingly.
-Champion system & process awareness within the Finance department, but also Commercial & Supply Chain functions.
-Manage the planning systems with IT for hierarchy changes, system upgrades / maintenance, and change requests.
Delivering the Finance Roadmap
-Play a wider role in delivering the Finance Roadmap, which is expected to result in significant change in ways of working for the FP&A team over the next 2 years.
-Support the delivery of the 'Strategy & Planning' team goals and people agenda.

We are seeking a qualified ACA/CIMA Accountant with significant Post Qualified Senior FP&A experience gained in a large FMCG or Retail organisation and ideally experience in several different finance areas and roles. You will be an outstanding communicator and be able to influence/drive change.
There will be a real commercial focus to the role as well so we require someone who can help drive business performance and can partner with the Finance Director and provide valued insight - not stuck in the detail, but can piece all the pieces of the puzzle together.
Experience in business partnering with non-finance functions is essential.
You will have strong business & financial awareness, understanding levers to drive revenue & profit is essential.
Experience of managing cross functional planning processes is essential.
Strong analytical skills and an ability to distil key messages and make recommendations from complex data and source is essential.
Hands on experience of planning systems is essential (Hyperion is desirable)
Strong understanding of financial and accounting processes is essential.
Experience in using external data to complement financial data is desirable.
