Our Client, a World-Leading, £Multi-Billion Retail business has an outstanding opportunity for a recently (or about to) qualified ACA to join them as a Senior Finance Analyst.

You will join a dynamic team of accountants and analysts most of whom made their first move into industry from top tier Audit firms and developed rapidly in the organisation progressing through a number of roles and promotions. We are seeking future the future Controllers and Directors of the business to join their finance talent pool. The role will include:

Analysis & Business Partnering:
The Senior Analyst will need to communicate with a variety of stakeholders which can include Loss Prevention, Store Operations, Merchandising, Buying and Distribution Services from across the business that need to be engaged throughout the project.

Own the weekly and monthly reporting requirements for the UK and Ireland banners for example: markdown compliance, sales reconciliation, inventory reconciliation, merchandise creditor reconciliation and gross margin reconciliation.
To support the change management process which will involve reviewing training manuals as well as training the other members of the team and becoming an advocate for the change suggesting ideas and proposing plans of how to implement the change in the legacy team.

The successful candidate will be a graduate and newly qualified (Ideally Big 4 trained but Top 10 will be considered) ACA. Ideally you will be looking for your first or second move from a top tier accountancy firm. You will have excellent Audit / Numeracy skills; Strong Analytical and presentation skills; Advanced problem solving abilities; Advanced Excel skills are a necessity; Prior related control environment experience would be an advantage; Must be able to work on own initiative, and prioritise workload to meet deadlines; Excellent communication skills are essential, including a good telephone manner; A flexible problem-solver, willing to take ownership of issues as they arise; The ability to escalate issues and assist in resolving them.
