Job Description
You'll be responsible for all management and financial accounting, which includes ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly and meet both the Group and statutory reporting requirement.
Main duties include:
* Manage, develop and coach a direct report (Finance Analyst)
* Own the monthly financial accounting and control processes including all revenue and certain costs
* Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations including corp tax returns
* Liaise with relevant teams to prepare and communicate month end timetable to wider stakeholders
* Coordinate and deliver the monthly balance sheet reconciliations process
* Review individual P&L and balance sheets to ensure accuracy
* Manage relationships with Group Reporting Team and Internal Auditors
* Drive the ongoing agenda for process improvement and identifying better ways of working
Key skills & experience required:
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified
* Trained in a Top 6 Accounting Practice or in a fast-paced, blue chip organisation
* Strong technical knowledge and capable of preparing financial accounts
* Ability to work at pace, whilst keeping standard consistently high
* A proactive and creative approach to tasks and problem solving
* Excellent communication skills, capable of building relationships with a range of levels and stakeholders
