Job Description
Key responsibilities:
* Preparing and reviewing P&L, collaborating with colleagues in commercial finance and control to ensure a clear understanding of variances to budget and monthly reforecasts
* Budgeting reconciliation and reforecasting lease accounting costs; maintaining and reconciling fixed assets
* Reporting the monthly consolidated financial statements, ensuring appropriate review and approval of major balance sheet items
* Supporting the balance sheet reconciliation and review process
* Preparing local GAAP financial statements, liaising with Country Controller and external auditors
* Budgeting and forecasting of the balance sheets with supporting analysis and commentary
* Supervising and developing one direct report
Keys skills, knowledge and experience required:
* Qualified ACA/ACCA Accountant
* Experience of preparing statutory accounts, or reviewing accounts (i.e. in practice)
* Thorough grasp of basic closing routines and the ability to ensure integrity of general ledger
* Ability to critically evaluate processes and drive continuous improvement changes
* Proactive and positive approach to problem solving
* Excellent attention to detail
* Confident and credible communicator
* Strong leader, capable of leading by example and motivate others to succeed
