This Senior Group Financial Accounting Manager role is a high profile role working within this his performing team who's remit covers external financial reporting, global financial controls, managing the global audit relationship with the external audit partner; determining and implementing accounting policies; and many other projects related to how the organisation measures its performance and presents and communicates this to the external world.
Leading a team of 6 and managing / partnering with Key Stake Holders are Director and VP level, this role will play a key role in the consolidation of the Group results and preparation of the Group's consolidated balance sheet, cash flow statement and statement of changes in equity.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:
*Oversee the completion of the monthly consolidation of investments and ensure this critical activity is completed correctly and on a timely basis.
*Financial Statements - review and ensure the published results are accurate, timely, consistent and a fair presentation of performance and corporate actions. This will include communicating reporting instructions, providing guidance and training to countries on the accounting policies, responding to accounting and reporting queries and reviewing monthly financial results to ensure compliance with accounting policy.
*Analyse the results and support the presentation to the Global Finance Leadership Team.
*Prepare the relevant parts of the quarterly press release as well as the Annual report and accounts.
*Support the Group audit process regarding the accounts owned.
*Ensure compliance to Sarbanes-Oaxley for the processes owned.
*Implement new reporting requirements on a timely basis as needed.
*Continuous system and process improvements and supporting the Leadership Team on ad-hoc projects as they arise.
What we are looking for;
*Qualified Accountant ideally Big 4 ACA (ICAEW), ACCA Considered
*Extensive exposure to Group Financial Reporting and /or audit experience within a Large international Plc environment
*10+ years experience in finance function
*5+ years experience in financial accounting / reporting
*Exposure to a larger ERP system - SAP / ORACLE OR similar
*The role requires a self-starter who can operate autonomously with minimal input and review from the Director.
