Job Description

Our client, one of the most sought after and dynamic organisations, with a proven track record retaining and rewarding top talent, is looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Senior Finance Analyst to join its team.

This role will support through financial budgeting and forecasting cycles. Business Partnering with each area of the business to provide strong and effective support, this team works with the colleagues that cover all aspects of the UK operational network.

Main duties include:
* Be a key member of the Operations Finance team providing financial support to the operational teams
* Provide key business insight to the senior management teams and stakeholders
* Provide periodic reporting, budgeting and forecasting of the financial performance
* Develop reports and analysis to give insight into operational cost base by key drivers
* To evolve current ways of working and improve the financial processes
* Providing value adding financial insight, support and challenge to the operational teams
* Produce management accounts (both P&L and Capex) for the business area supporting on a timely and accurate basis, also producing insightful commentary and carrying out period end review meetings with budget holders
* Develop a detailed understanding of the operational drivers to highlight areas requiring course correction, identify on-going opportunities and risks
* Business Partnering: support the Operational Directors & senior leadership teams in decision making for commercial contracts, supplier tenders, pay reviews, business reviews and ad-hoc analysis etc.


Key skills & experience required:
* Qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA
* Strong academic record
* Good working knowledge of Excel and generally systems savvy
* Proven track record working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
* Retail/FMCG or Logistics industry experience
* Excellent communication, as you will be working with all levels of finance
* Logical, driven and proactive approach to tasks
* Possesses a keen eye for detail
* Personable and warm character
* Flexible and creative approach to problem solving
