Job Description

Our client, an instantly recognisable brand name with offices in Watford are looking to source a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join the team on a three month contract. Previous experience in a fast-paced accounts payable team will be essential.

Key responsibilities:
-Managing the supplier relationship by providing high quality and professional advice in response to internal and external queries, face to face, via telephone or by e-mail/written correspondence
-Assist the Senior Clerks and Supervisors in generation of Bacs, Cheque and TT Payments
-Scan all procurement based invoices
-File of non- scanned invoices
-Checking and processing expenses for review
-Develop and maintain working relationships to understand payment requirements and any anomalies
-Regularly reconcile supplier statements to aid account management
-Ad hoc tasks as required by line manager

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a high-volume, fast paced accounts finance team and have excellent attention to detail. Good written and verbal skills will be essential, as will previous reconciliation experience.
