Job Description
Key responsibilities:
- Day to day management of a team of two Payroll Assistants (including 1:1's, Team meetings, Performance reviews and objective setting)
- Ensuring the team to deliver accurate pay to employees on a monthly basis
Relationships
- Manage the relationship with the various payroll providers to ensure that they are providing accurate and timely reporting and information.
- Validate service levels and drive compliance to service levels through monthly reporting
- Ensure that the payroll providers pro-actively advise us regarding tax and legislation in European countries to guarantee that we understand and account for liabilities correctly
- Work closely with the HR team to integrate systems and processes between the HR and Payroll teams
- Ensure relevant compliance for tax, NI across all payrolls
- Provide accurate reporting and information as required
- Responsible for the production of accurate balance sheet reconciliations across Payroll to the agreed timetable
- Responsible for all payroll journal postings to ensure accurate timely accounting
- Ensure internal processes in place to limit payroll errors
- Develop and implement robust checks for each payroll cycle to demonstrate checks and sign off
- Regularly review regulations to ensure pay policies and procedures are up to date and compliant
Our client will be looking for a highly credible individual with experience of end to end payroll processing and a strong knowledge of regulations to ensure compliance. This would suit an individual coming from a large-company background with an understanding of European payrolls. Proven experience in managing and developing a small team would also be preferred.
