Job Description

Vitae are delighted to be partnering with a market-leading construction company in North West London to help source an experienced Senior Payroll Clerk. The role will be to manage to company payroll consisting of over 1000 employees and would suit an individual comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume finance team.
This is an award-winning business who have worked on a number of impressive projects in Central London and who have secured some exiting contracts for 2019 and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:
-Processing all monthly payroll
-Ensuring all weekly & monthly changes are correctly added to employee records from the HR changes form.
-Handle payment requests for any mid-month leavers.
-Pulling through benefits from HR work bench, checking that benefits are properly calculated in COINS payroll.
-Responsible for preparing monthly comparisons for review and sign off by Head of Payroll.
-Submission of RTI to HMRC - after BACS payroll run has been processed.
-Monthly costing of payroll - allocating all costs to projects, completed in line with monthly financial calendar.
-Assisting the Head of Payroll with year-end processing and reporting.
-Handling employee queries and any HMRC correspondence.
-Identifying and working on process and timing improvements with other teams, including HR

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Payroll Clerk who lives locally to the Ealing / Harrow area and is capable of working as part of a close-knit team. The role will require outstanding communication skills, both written and verbally as there will be daily interaction with company employees and various stakeholders within the business.
