Job Description

Our client, a highly sought after, dynamic FTSE brand that's demonstrated impressive growth, is looking to source a top calibre Head of Financial Control to join its talented team. Given the diverse, commercial nature of the business, it is a hands-on senior position and an excellent opportunity for someone highly driven and astute to add value and play a pivotal role in future success.

You'll manage a range of responsibility, including fixed assets, consolidations team and balance sheet reporting and controls. You'll also be required to support the Department in ad hoc reporting matters, projects and process improvements.

Main duties include:
* Responsibility for the production and monitoring of the Group balance sheet
* Producing and presenting the quarterly balance sheet review
* Ensuring the group's control framework is implemented and process improvements driven
* Implementing and producing monthly control pack updates
* Overseeing the fixed assets team and ensuring reporting and MI is available to aid decision making
* Supporting the depreciation budget process and business partner with commercial teams
* Managing the performance and development of direct reports and their teams (12 people in total)
* Maintaining group's intercompany relationships
* Supporting the group finance team in month end, budget, audit or BAU processes
* Reviewing and approval of expenses and payments through bank; lead ad hoc initiatives

Skills & experience required:
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified with at least 6 years PQE
* Strong academics
* Up to date technical knowledge (IFRS)
* PLC experience would be highly advantageous
* Excellent leader, with proven track record of developing others and getting the most out of teams
* Well versed working in large, fast-paced environments
* Clear communication skills, capable of building relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders
* Highly numerate and analytical with a keen eye for detail
* Demonstrates a proactive and positive approach to problem solving
