Job Description
This is a broad and varied role, overseeing the general ledger, producing insightful analysis and maintaining and implementing financial control and driving improvements wherever possible. Any Construction/Building Services related experience would be advantageous.
Main duties include:
* Responsibility for day to day running and financial management of the businesses, including oversight of general ledger
* Managing 3 direct reports
* Supervision of the month end process and the production of management accounts
* P&L reviews and challenge of balance sheet reconciliations, identifying risks and opportunities to the business
* Producing insightful MI and KPI analysis, producing monthly Board summaries and discussing financial performance of divisions
* Production pf departmental/segmental P&L reporting
* Designing and implementing a CAPEX sign off process
* Review VAT returns
* Liaising with commercial/operational functions regularly regarding financial performance
* Delivering integrated budgets and quarterly reforecasts
* Managing the production of and reviewing year end audit packs
Key skills & experience required:
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified
* Strong communicator and leadership skills with proven experience of managing a team
* Ability to challenge and influence senior management
* Statutory and management reporting background
* Excellent numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills
* A proactive, self-starter with examples to date of process improvement and challenging the status quo
