Job Description
As a key part of this fast-paced, highly visible team, you will ensure compliance with external financial reporting requirements, driving continuous improvement and liaise effectively with the senior leadership team.
Main duties include:
* Hand on production and delivery of the Group financial statements, ensuring Board of Directors meet their legal requirements in relation to financial reporting disclosures
* Ownership and development of the Group accounting policies manual, including leading on projects to determine the impact of new and amended accounting standards
* Providing best in class technical advice to support the group and brand finance teams
* Acting as key point of contact for external audit team
* Ownership for preparation of subsidiary statutory accounts
* Involvement in ad hoc projects and continuous improvement initiatives, providing a wide variety of challenges and experience
Key skills and experience required:
* ACA or ACCA with 2 - 5 years PQE
* Strong academic record including at least a 2:1 from a well-regarded institution
* The ability to interpret and apply accounting standards and provide expert advice to a range of stakeholders
* Detailed understanding of UKGAAP and IFRS
* Capable, analytical mind combined with a personable and engaging character to ensure strong relationships are built in the business
* Ambitious, dedicated and self-motivated
