Job Description
As an integral member of the team, you'll support divisional Directors and their senior management team, providing key business insight to aid decision making. The role will include analysis, budgeting and forecasting performance, as well as using your own influence and credibility to challenge current ways of working. It's is a role with fantastic exposure to the Senior Leadership team, supporting them and the Director of Operations with decision making.
Overall Purpose of the Role
*Business Partnering with Operations, providing strong and effective financial support and leadership to various Heads and the senior management team
*Provide key financial insight and challenge to the senior management team of this rapidly growing business division
*Provide useful and timely period management accounts and analysis
*Lead the business area through financial budgeting and forecasting cycles
Roles & Responsibilities
*Build strong working relationships with the divisional management team
*Produce period management accounts, supporting schedules/analysis and commentary and present to Senior Management in Finance and Operations
*Lead process and produce the Annual Budget and Forecasts and present to Senior Management in Finance and Operations. Support in producing Budget presentation to CEO.
*Support with and review of capital spend approval requests, ensuring appropriate process is followed
*Accurate accounting of costs and tracking of spend vs. budget by project
*Maintain and enhance controls around project lifecycle: initiation/approvals, setting of budgets, set up and maintenance of codes, purchasing processes, accurate reporting and project go live/completion
*Produce and enhance KPI reporting of Operations
*Drive improvements in accounting to ensure accounting rules are appropriately applied, sufficient controls are in place and reporting provides insight to business decision making
*Drive development of and produce periodic Management Information report, ensure it is insightful and issue in agreed timelines
*Build modelling and other financial support and analysis to support improved decision making
*Identify and implement improvements to business processes and financial controls to increase efficiency and ensure all costs are recorded accurately in the accounts
*Preparation of information/schedules for audit and external reporting
*Develop a strong commercial understanding of the business, which is reflected in reports, analysis and commentaries, provided and assist the Head of Finance in managing the overall business.
*Continually look to improve the processes and reporting for the business
Skills & Experience Required
The successful candidate will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with a strong academic record. You must have experience of management accounting, analysis and commentary, as well as budgets and forecasts. Experience in supporting / business partnering non-finance teams is essential. Aside from this you will have a proven track record working in a fast-paced environment and delivering a consistently high standard of work.
