Financial Accountant - Watford
£35,000 - £40,000 per annum plus Excellent Benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen within a well established business for a Financial Accountant to join its team. You will maintain statutory and management accounts, budgets and budgetary control, cash flow management and balance sheet monitoring.

Key Responsibilities
- Updating and maintaining Fixed Asset ledger accounts for US GAAP & Statutory reporting
- Timely and accurate monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
- Prepare journal entries to general ledger
- Prepare intercompany sales statements
- Timely analysis, identification, communication and resolution of balance sheet account reconciliation issues
- Assist when monthly reporting to Corporate as per company's policies and procedures are submitted
- Process accruals during month end close
- Assist in preparation of Quarterly variances reporting
- Perform internal control reviews
- Support internal and external audit requests

The successful candidate will have previous experience or knowledge of internal controls and US GAAP accounting. You will have strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. You will have experience in intercompany, general ledger or treasury accounting for a large business.

- Provide financial accounts for the Group and maintain financial accounting records and produce annual statutory accounts
- Work with Senior Management Accountant in the provision of monthly financial reports for Group subsidiaries/joint ventures, including income and expenditure accounts, capital expenditure and balance sheet analysis
- Run the process of creating annual budgets for companies within the Group, and to oversee the monitoring of these budgets against plan
- Provide a full suite of balance sheet reports for the Group, including forensic analysis of accounts
- Be owner of the fixed asset register for Group Companies
- Reconcile the Fixed Asset Register with the nominal ledger for each Group company
- Monitor the income and expenditure for Group subsidiaries to ensure adherence to agreed business plans, and to report on variances against the plan
- High quality financial service for the Group and it's stakeholders
- Comply with any internal audits where appropriate
- Assist the Financial Controller and Senior Management Accountant in developing financial strategies when needed

The successful candidate will be a Part Qualified Accountant with experience doing a similar role. You will have good knowledge to prepare statutory accounts, interpret accounting legislation and ensure they are implemented. You will have previous exposure presenting complex financial information to senior management and stakeholders.
