Job Description

Our client, a thriving International travel business with office in Hertfordshire are looking to source an ambitious Part-Qualified / QBE Financial Accountant to join their team. The role, reporting into the Accounting and Control Manager is a key role for the business and will involve ensuring timely and accurate processing of all R2R accounting for activities across the business.

This role will involve the management of a small team of outsourced accountants so previous managerial experience would be highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
-Management and review of the UK and Ireland monthly close timetable in conjunction with the outsourced finance team
-You prepare accrual and provision journals for centralised global charges and reconciliation of associated balance sheet accounts
-Review of branch and head office operating overheads
-Review of capital expenditure
-Preparation of accounting entries for allocation of centralised costs among branches
-Production, review and evaluation of RTR balance sheet reconciliations
-Review, finalise and submit industry compliance reports e.g. national statistics surveys, ABTA / CAA submissions
-Management and communication of the quarterly intercompany process within the CWT group
-Production and distribution of key management reports
-Liaise with finance systems and FP&A team to produce and distribute reports highlighting volume trends
-Production and distribution of trading statements providing detailed information for stakeholders across all levels of the business
-You provide back-up data, technical knowledge and support for key stakeholders when reviewing monthly reports

The business have shown an impressive growth over the last number of years and have exciting plans for development in 2019. Prospective candidates will need to have excellent communication skills both verbal and written and be able to challenge and develop current processes and procedures.

Advanced Excel skills would be preferred and knowledge of consolidation tools such as HFM or Hyperion is desirable but not essential. In return, the business can offer a competitive salary, full study support and a progressive, sociable work environment.
