Job Description

Our client, a reputable global business with offices in West London are looking to source a Finance Team Leader to join their team. The role is to assist the Financial Controller with the day to day operation of the Finance Department.

Key Responsibilities:
-Apply and check credit for new customers
-Investigate and resolve queries relating to non-payment of invoices, communicate any bad debt to Area Financial Controller
-Conduct the monthly credit meeting with management and share the meeting minutes with the team
-Process bad debt provision for month end reporting and process relevant month end journals
-Defend all credit card charge backs in a timely manner to the best ability; Recommend and implement procedures to mitigate the risks.
-Supervise the Accounts Receivable function, with particular relevance to credit control. Perform Accounts Receivable duties in the absence of Credit Control
-Liaise with all other depts. ensuring all teams are aware of credit issues and work with them to achieve a positive result
-Ensure all Accounts Receivable targets set out are achieved on a monthly basis
-Supervise the General Cashier's functions to ensure daily banking is done in a timely manner with absolute accuracy.
-Assist the Accounts Executives in dealing with guest quires and issues
-Assist the AFC in the Internal Auditing process to ensure hotel's compliant to certain Financial regulations
-Preform weekly main safe count and monthly cashier's float audit.
-Performs other tasks as assigned by management
-Assist the AFC in any other functions as requested and to deputise in the absence of the AFC

The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar role previously and have strong all-round finance experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel will be essential and any experience using OPERA would be preferred.
