An exciting role has come up at a leading technology company who operate throughout the UK for a Finance Systems Project Manager. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop professionally and help shape the future of this dynamic, growing company by contributing to the fast-moving environment and further establish itself at the forefront of the market. This role would suit candidates who are keen to take on and lead system implementation projects in the business, while also ensuring all necessary tracking activities are also routinely maintained, and those who wish to progress their career by taking on responsibility in a forward-thinking environment.

Purpose of role
The Finance Systems Project Manager role is an integral part of the company's Finance department and the Finance plan in the long-term, requiring valuable leadership on system implementations company wide. While the role requires close relationships with many other departments, the main focus will be the Finance team who will be closely supported by the successful candidate. There are a number of outputs related to this role, including system development and roll out, improvement processing and management, UAT implementation and ensuring the continued integrity of the company's multiple financial systems.

Role responsibilities
* Take leadership of, and implement, financial business change projects
* Maintain and provide continuous support for all company finance systems, as well as overseeing any changes and/or updates
* Provide problem solving support to end-users and offer solutions to issues experienced, including extensive troubleshooting
* Identify and provide improvements to financial processes, including automating where possible to increase efficiency
* Work closely with the Finance department with regards to any systems processes
* Ensure that all documentation and traceability related to systems is accurately maintained and always remains current
* Provide an environment where other company departments can prepare, plan, introduce and test new systems and/or processes
* Assistance with Financial Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
* Offer support with any end-user testing required
* Design and develop detailed reports to be shared with colleagues of various seniority levels, with a particular focus on end user testing
* Undertake systems maintenance and updates when required
* Oversee and monitor routine tasks on a day-to-day basis, identifying and resolving issues when necessary

Knowledge and experience
* Background in a system accounting or other similar role, with focus on system development, maintenance and implementation
* Strong understanding of financial systems and detailed knowledge of processes to employ
* Ability to work individually or as part of a team, without the need for constant guidance
* Demonstrable achievements relating to improvements to procedures/processes
* Previous experience using a recognised ERP system
* Developing reports to meet the growing business needs
* Awareness of prioritising tasks as per the urgency and need from a company wide point of view
* Proactivity and ability to escalate matters where necessary
* Strong communication skills with end users when offering advice and taking charge of training
