Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Producing accurate and timely month end trial balances and consolidation
- Keeping up to date with current and proposed accounting standards assessing the impact on financial forecasts
- Monitoring the annual overheads budgets and investigate and highlight variances
-Producing statutory financial information including the filing of accounts within the requisite timeframes
- Ensuring invoicing is up to date and invoice payment received on a timely manner.
- Managing day to day operational relationships within the team
- Responsible for ensuring the finance department operates effectively and is adequately resourced
--Managing the short term cash flow requirements of the business by liaising with all relevant departments
- Maintain effective relationships with advisors (PWC etc.), to ensure support when required
- Proposing required drawdowns to achieve short term cash flow requirements
- Implementing and monitoring financial operational procedures.
- Creating an environment to drive engagement and high performance within the finance team
We are looking for a highly-motivated, credible Finance Manager with previous line management experience and a proven background in developing staff. The ideal profile will be an ACA / ACCA Qualified Accountant with 1-3 years of post-qualified experience. Our client would be willing to consider candidates making their first move from practice however an understanding of the property/construction industry would also be advantageous.
