Finance Manager / Financial Accountant
Up to £55,000
Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire

This is a broad role with excellent visibility working closely with the CFO and Head of Finance and the operational teams and wider business.
We are seeking a proven self-starter and a dynamic individual able to thrive within a fast-paced business environment.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
-Overseeing monthly Management Accounts
-Providing detailed variance analysis
-Support month end processes for the business' multiple companies
-Co-ordinate monthly reporting pack including various balance sheet and expense account reconciliations
-Manage VAT reporting and compliance
-Support budget process by managing schedules, consolidating responses and changes
-Provide support for year- end audits and to be the key liaison with the external auditors
-To undertake cashflow reporting and forecasting
-To review balance sheet for various companies advising on specific actions
-To reconcile some key balance sheet control accounts
-Ensure compliance with established internal controls
-Assist in improving accounting processes and using systems to create efficiency's and increased automation
-Assist in various ad hoc projects

The successful candidate must be a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with 3+ years Finance experience (exceptional candidates who are qualified by experience will be considered). You will be self-motivated and able to operate independently with minimal direction

You must be confident and have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels across the business. You will be supportive and patient with the operational teams who are often in their first management roles. Strong analytical and IT skills - Excel to Advanced level are a must. Previous experience of reading legal documents and contracts would be hugely advantageous but not essential.
