Finance Data and Systems Analyst
St Albans or Central London
Circa £55,000

Vitae Financial Recruitment are partnering this highly acquisitive and rapidly growing fast-track business in their search for a Financial Data and Systems Analyst.
The role will sit within the Financial Planning & Analysis team and will have ownership of the finance data pipeline and data streams to share with the Business for reporting, planning and management.

The business is currently implementing a planning and reporting software, and this role will support the FP&A team in this implementation with external support. This is a newly created role which will be responsible for supporting users and developing the Finance department systems to enable the business and manage and analyse data and improve commercial decision support. The role would suit a Financial Analyst would has experience of SQL and a genuine interest in data and systems analysis.

Other key duties will include sourcing data through detailed SQL queries as required by key financial stakeholders and identifying innovative ways to streamline the data sets and automate the data pipeline between databases and systems.
Ultimate you will become the internal expert and business partner the FP&A team to help support and maintain the system, helping make changes, integrating new systems and add new fields as required.

We are looking for the following skills sets -

*Ideally Qualified ACA, CIMA or ACCA
*Degree educated (preferably in Information Systems / Maths / Stats / Engineering) or equivalent experience
*Good Microsoft SQL experience and a interest in data systems and analysis
*Proficient in Excel and/or other data analysis tools
*A good basic knowledge of Finance - Balance Sheet and P&L (you don't need to be an accountant)
*Demonstrable analytical and report development abilities
*Strong communication and presentation skills
*Ability to develop and sustain relationships with key stakeholders and peers
*Ability to analyse large amounts of data quickly and accurately
*Ability to manage a challenging workload, whilst working quickly and precisely under pressure.
*Proven ability to logically problem-solve

The role will start remotely in line with Government guidelines and then can be based in St Albans, Hertfordshire or Central London - there will also be a degree of remote working.
