Finance Analyst - Hertfordshire
£27k - £35k + study support, and additional benefits - depending on experience

Vitae have partnered with a dynamic entity recruiting for a role ideal for part-qualified candidates looking to develop their experience in commercial analysis. The organisation is well established in their chosen sector and are keen on bringing in an up and coming analyst to take part in key business activities targeted at streamlining financials and using their acumen to evaluate project based activities.

Main responsibilities include:

- Analysing and reviewing income and profitability for major clients
- Project accounting for major clients
- Partnering with Project Management, Sales, and Operations teams to evaluate project revenue
- Analysing contracts held to ensure consistent terms with client base
- Management reports
- Supporting the Commercial Finance Manager and team on ad-hoc project work

Candidates must have consistent, progressive CVs presenting strong acumen and intuitiveness to adapt.

Ideal candidates would be part-qualified with an Accounting, Finance or Economics degree from a reputable university, while study support can also be offered. Strong Excel skills are critical in roles of this nature as well as the ability to pick up new systems. Organisation and the ability to prioritise workloads will put candidates in good stead as well as the ability to effectively communicate with finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Accounting knowledge is also a prerequisite including an understanding of reconciliation, revenue and costs, and commercial movements. The ability to carry out insightful variance reporting will be a requirement withing the role and should have been demonstrated previously. Working in a WIP, time-based environment would also be advantageous.
