Job Description

Our client, a well-established, luxury fashion group that is undergoing a significant period of growth on an international scale, is looking to source a career-minded and technically strong European Finance Manager to join its talented team.

The role will play an integral part in managing European statutory reporting as well as being involved in interested, complex tax and accounting issues. You will be supporting all European legal, regulatory tax and statutory reporting requirements, alongside certain monthly and quarterly accounting activities of the International business.

Main duties include:
* Support the preparation of annual statutory financial statements including maintaining a standardised approach to bridge GAAP results to local statutory results
* Coordinating with external advisors on how to maintain local ledgers and stat adjustments
* Leading interaction with external auditors in producing audited financial statements
* Coordinating with company secretaries, communicating commercial registries when statutory accounts are finalised
* Mentoring and developing 1 qualified Analyst
* Assisting with tax calculations and the company's standard tax reporting package
* Supporting the general accounting team and the integration of other business units into the European control team
* Leading continuous process improvements and integrations of various aspects of reporting functions

Key skills and experience required:
* A Bachelor's Degree and be ACA qualified
* A minimum of 3-5 years accounting experience at multinational public company or major accounting firm
* Strong UK GAAP accounting knowledge, with US GAAP knowledge as a plus
* Working knowledge of tax compliance principles
* Internal Controls experience
* Self-starter, takes initiative, highly motivated
* Ability to multi task and be flexible regarding changing priorities and tight deadlines
* Ability to perform critical analysis and thinking, prioritize and problem solve
* Ambitious and determined to progress, learning new skills and encountering fresh challenges along the way
