Our client, a true global force within their chosen field have created a new role that will suit an inquisitive and intelligent individual with a passion for internal controls. In this role you will liaise with many regions across the globe to help design, document, monitor and improve internal controls over financial reporting.

You will work collaboratively with the Managers and Process Owners, Shared Services Centre teams, and the wider group including supply chain.

Key Duties Include:-
* Perform spot checks of self-assessments using data analytics, performing sample-based reviews of control documentation for early indicators of any issues.
* Escalate any process improvement findings to management and prepare next steps, as appropriate.
* Aid in design and documentation of process improvements (for effectiveness, efficiency, automation, global consistency).
* Confirm process owner's remediation of internal control deficiencies before it is audited by Internal or External Audit by reviewing evidence.
* Take an active role in ensuring that all changes to financial system (SAP, HFM and any other financial applications) are properly tested by users both pre-change in QA and post-change in Production and have appropriate controls in place and documented.

The ideal candidate with be a Chartered Accountant, Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) or Certified Public Accountant a strong plus.
5+ year's experience in a compliance, auditing, or finance role at a regulated company, or equivalent combination of education and experience. You must have large ERP system experience with exposure to a shared services centre environment a strong plus.
Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis, interpersonal oral/written communication, problem solving and project management skills.
Able to work independently, define challenges, collect statistical data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Adept at creation of statistical reports and self-assessment tools, such as data analytics, that establish trends and identify areas of potential non-compliance.

Please do note, this role does require travel across Europe circa 15- 20%.
