Commercial Finance Manager (M&A)


£70,000 - £80,000 + Bonus + Benefits

This is a high profile role working for a large international market leading business, backed by private equity and experiencing double digit growth with an ambitious five year strategic plan in place. Driven by both organic and acquisition growth with high levels of investment, this role will provide commercial support to the division and support an exciting pipeline of M&A opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead finance role supporting M&A and organic activity, the role will require a high level of 'doing', typical of a high growth, private equity backed business in terms of creating business plans, understanding acquisition targets, presenting to stakeholders.
* Project management of post-acquisition integration activities and strategic Business Improvement projects - working closely with a commercially focused Finance Director and therefore provides a useful "bridge" between an M&A role and a line role within a commercial finance operation.
* The role will require some international travel supporting our exciting M&A activity and high growth international business.
* It is anticipated that approximately 40% of the role will be on M&A activity and 60% on commercial finance support.
* With a real mix of responsibilities and working closely with a commercially focused Divisional FD within a fast growing international products and services business, this role is a great 'bridge' to a future FD role.

Knowledge, Experience and Technical Skills

* ACA Qualified ideally Top 10 trained (Ideally from Transaction Services / Advisory / Corporate Finance)
* M&A experience (Due Diligence experience, supporting commercial opportunity assessment, leading business plan creation, leading financial post-acquisition integration)
* Experience of working in a senior management team and influencing non-financial managers

Person Specification

* Intelligent, strong analytical skills, commercially aware, strong interpersonal skills, proactive and hungry, advanced Excel skills a necessity
* Appetite for international travel and fast paced commercial culture
* Ability to cope is demanding and pressurised (but very rewarding) environment
