Job Description
This is a highly visible role in the business with rare exposure to the Board and Senior Leadership Team. The successful candidate will provide expert financial advice to senior stakeholders and work with a wide range of business partners across Commercial and Procurement. They will also oversee the development of a CIMA studying Finance Analyst.
Key duties:
* Manage the month end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial results each month & gain an understanding of key drivers of financial performance
* Forecasting spend and understanding variances from forecast
* Business partnering with procurement and commercial teams to understand actual performance and forecasts
* Forecasting for product costings
* Operating pricing model
* Tracking overheads/variances and forecasting
* Providing ongoing support for ad hoc projects
* Managing relationships with key customers and provide business partnering for these accounts
* Developing and mentoring a Commercial Finance Analyst
* Leading the integration of acquired businesses to ensure a seamless transition
* Training non-financial managers in all aspects of finance, budgeting, forecasting etc.
Experience and knowledge required:
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified
* Proven experience working in fast-paced environments, either from big 4 or blue-chip industry
* At least 2 - 4 years PQE
* Strong Excel
* Excellent communication; confident and articulate, capable of presenting to Board level
* Numerate and analytical
* Possess a positive attitude and outgoing personality
* Adept at working in a constantly evolving environment
* A positive and proactive approach to problem solving
