Accounts Payable Manager - Watford
£40,000 - £45,000 per annum plus Bonus plus Excellent Benefits

Our client, a well-known market leader and rapidly growing organisation, is looking to source an experienced and talented Accounts Payable Manager to join their busy team.

The purpose of this role will be to effectively manage the Accounts Payable team and ensure the timely payment of invoices. You must have SAP knowledge.

Key accountabilities include:
- Work with other finance departments to continue to drive process efficiencies through further automation in the organisation
- Help to define and develop standard documentation of standard process including process maps, work instruction, SOX documentation, ensuring that the standard process is maintained and documentation remains current
- Supervise the daily activities of the Payment Processing team ensuring that invoices are paid timely which includes payment processing deadlines, managing external calls from vendors and tox withholding reporting
- Ensure processes and controls are in place to effectively process vendor invoices, resolving reconciling items via partnership with procurement
- Ensure SOX controls are maintained and provide support for Audit reviews both internal and external
- Tabulate day to day processing to generate reports for management
- Prepare KPI and metric reporting for all businesses serviced by P2P, analyse performance and recommend performance improvements and action required
- Prepare Balance sheet reporting for all businesses, analyse trends, identify opportunities, recommend action to improve cash flow
- Provide leadership for the team, drive a process improvement culture throughout the team, continuously look to improve service and improved customer experience

The successful candidate will have at least 3 years' experience working within a fast paced environment with indirect/direct procurement and payable processes and data related to transaction processing. You must also have experience in managing a team and possess strong inter-personal skills. You will have strong analytical skills with the ability to identify problem areas, recommend solutions and good reporting skills.
SAP knowledge is required.
