Senior Technical Project Accountant
12 Month Fixed Term Contract, Enfield
£65,000 - £75,000 + Benefits Package

Our client, a world-renowned specialist in their chosen field, is looking for an accounting specialist with a track record of providing technical accounting support across multiple transformation projects.
The remit will ensure the maintenance of a professional quality service in line with internal policies and external regulations that meet client expectations and industry view of best practice. This will be measured by the results of both external and internal audit reviews and regulatory scrutiny as well as contributions to continuous process improvement and change initiatives.
Key areas of focus:
-Ensure high quality, compliant professional services are provided across the Portfolio of projects.
-Make significant contribution to and assist in the delivery of compliant accounting and reporting services in a controlled and timely manner.
-Providing technical expertise in interpreting, applying, and resolving subjective and complex accounting issues.
-Providing support on complex programmes of work in how to structure and track costs and benefits in a coherent and consistent way.
-Providing technical review and challenge of consolidated portfolio reporting
-Provide effective subject matter expertise to projects and change including strategic change (e.g. Group reorganisations, structuring, acquisitions and disposals, new products, new accounting standards or regulatory requirements) and operational change
- Assist Senior Management team in continuously improving the processes across the portfolio of projects and enhancing the reporting and planning activities within the portfolio.
-Devise appropriate Operational performance indicators (KPI's & KRI's) and Balanced Scorecard data and use such MI to drive results in terms of improved performance.
-Provide technical expertise, direction, and guidance to across the finance function through on-the-job and formal training.
-Support effective risk management, creating a strong risk culture and operating in line with risk strategy, preferences, policies, and processes.

In addition to the above technical skillset, the role will require strong commercial awareness and the ability to communicate insightful conclusions and astute courses of action, helping others understand multiple points of view relating to business impact. All applicants must have a proven ability to lead on high-profile projects, utilising experience in project management techniques to deliver complex projects on-time, in-full.
