Job Description
This person will lead the preparation and filing of the statutory accounts for the Group subsidiary companies, as well as the preparation and delivery of the half year and year end audit process.
Main duties include:
* Own and deliver the production of high quality statutory accounts for all entities
* Building models for various acquisitions as part of the annual planning process
* Working with the Group Accountant and Auditors to build a detailed plan of annual audit activity
* Working with stakeholders around the business to ensure information is collated throughout the year
* Acting as a central point of contact for the coordination of audit work
* Supporting the Group Accountant with the preparation of the Group monthly management accounts for the Board
* Reviewing current ways of working to identify improvements
* Supporting with other ad hoc projects as and when required
Key skills & experience required:
* Qualified Accountant
* Proven track record in a similar technically focused role
* Examples to date of working with audit teams
* Strong technical financial knowledge including IFRS and preparing statutory accounts
* Good Excel
* Credible character, capable of building relationships across the business
* Ability to analyse technical information and understand complex matters quickly
* Pro-active in their approach, taking ownership and responsibility for delivering results and driving improvements
