Senior Finance Manager
Luton, Bedfordshire (1-2 days Office / Very Flexible Hybrid)
£65,000 - £75,000 (Depending on experience)
Immediate Start
Initially 6 Months Contract (with potential to become permanent)

We have a fantastic opportunity to join this employer of choice on an initial 6-month contract which is likely to convert to a permanent role. The business operates a highly flexible hybrid working policy and as such you will only be required to work in the office 1-2 days a week maximum.

As Finance Manager you will manage a small team with responsibility for business partnering, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking and month end reporting across several key operational areas.

The role will sit in weekly operational meetings as finance business partner to several senior operational leaders, translating operational data into financial data to mitigate risks and take advantage of opportunities within a dynamic environment.
You will support operations and their wider team with financial performance vs budget as well as analysis and delivery of cost base initiatives. Support the development of a functionally led cost base across, building transparency and insight to support the business. You will coach and develop the team, ensuring all direct reports are engaged and motivated to perform to high standards and to agreed objectives.


In Detail :

*Delivery of month end, forecast, budget and 3YP process
*Support the harmonisation of activities and processes within your area of finance to ensure a consistent function led approach. Working in close collaboration with FP&A teams to ensure consistency and commonality across the business.
*Support the development of KPI and reporting packs to enable functional business partnering and monitor cost base performance.
*Providing world class business partnering to key Stakeholders.
*You'll lead financial support and analysis across the cost base.
*Driving a culture of cost efficiency across all business areas within role remit
*Supporting and driving a culture of strong financial controls, compliance, and adherence to regulatory frameworks; ensuring adherence to governance mechanisms for investments and capital expenditure.
*Promoting a culture of risk awareness and control focus.
*Supporting specific adhoc project activities.
*Providing direction to your team, developing their cultural awareness and understanding of business strategy.

What we are looking for:

*Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
*Demonstrable experience with a large business covering forecasting, budgeting, business partnering, analysis and month-end reporting.
*Ideally you will have some team leadership experience.
*Proactivity is key to the role in addition to stong business partnering skills
*Strong financial modelling and analysis skills
*Excellent analytical, communication and influencing skills (both written and oral)
*Experience of working in a fast-paced, multi-channel environment
