Are you a highly organised and detail-oriented individual with a passion for finance and accounting? We have an opportunity for an Italian Accountant to join our clients dynamic finance team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial operations for our clients Italian company. This position requires proficiency in Italian language skills and a strong understanding of accounting principles.
Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with various departments to prepare and analyse monthly financial accounts.
* Handle full-cycle accounting duties, including preparing financial statements, maintaining general ledgers, and overseeing accounts payable and receivable.
* Conduct thorough analysis of financial data and provide insightful reports to support decision-making processes.
* Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records by reconciling bank statements, performing balance sheet reconciliations, and monitoring financial transactions.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement efficient financial processes and controls.
* Prepare and submit tax returns, ensuring compliance with Italian tax regulations and guidelines.
* Communicate effectively with Italian stakeholders, providing guidance on financial matters and addressing inquiries promptly.
* Stay updated on Italian accounting standards and regulations, making necessary adjustments to ensure compliance.
* Support the finance team in month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals, provisions, and financial reporting.
* Assist with external audits by preparing audit schedules, responding to auditor inquiries, and ensuring a smooth audit process.
* Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic initiatives and business growth.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
* Strong proficiency in the Italian language, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with Italian stakeholders.
* Proven experience in finance or accounting roles, demonstrating knowledge of Italian accounting principles and regulations.
* Excellent understanding of journal entry preparation and balance sheet reconciliations.
* Familiarity with fixed assets management and construction in process accounting.
* Experience in supporting financial reporting and tax teams during quarter and year-end processes.
* Solid knowledge of financial control compliance.
* Ability to liaise effectively with local consultants for the preparation and submission of audited financial accounts and tax returns.
* Strong organisational and multitasking skills to facilitate audits and handle ad hoc requests.
* Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
* Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
