Head of Financial Governance, London (hybrid)
£90- £110kpa plus benefits including a 20% bonus

Our client, a truly innovative brand with an exciting future have created a new role to strengthen their Accounting Services & Transformation Department. This role will allow the successful candidate to roll out best practice and really make their mark within the business.

Key Duties:-
* Responsible for establishing operation of a Finance Governance Framework that is robust and to the satisfaction of senior finance Leadership consistent with SOX requirements.
* This will include control design and implementation via the Accounting Services & Transformation Department and detect controls.
* Controls should strike the right balance between ensuring robust financial control and scalability and agility in commercial and finance processes.
* Develop, oversee, and coordinate the financial reporting risk governance framework ensuring business unit compliance across the business (i.e., Finance processes in all in scope functions and legal entities).
* Responsible for effective risk mitigation within large change activity such as acquisitions, outsourcing arrangements, and emerging business issues.
* Promoting good standards of financial governance.
* Liaison with reporting entities to ensure a robust and harmonized internal financial control environment.
* Responsible for establishing and operating a robust finance business continuity framework/plan.
* Presenting to the senior finance leadership semi-annually the finance governance compliance strategy & plan.
* Reporting on financial governance activities as needed and appropriate to the senior finance leadership.
* Liaison with third parties such as external auditors and regulatory bodies to provide data and support(s) to allow assessment of the control environment, and permit controls-based testing.

The business enjoys a healthy work life balance with hybrid working in place of circa 2 days in the office. The successful candidate will possess a strong accounting/control background, qualified CIMA, ACCA, ACA (or International equivalent) with a minimum of five years post qualification experience preferably out of practice (retail and service industries are advantage). The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic team player with ability to work flexibly in an ever-changing work environment with good excel skills.
