Job Description
Candidates must come from a product-related background i.e. Manufacturing and also enjoy being hands on in their roles; whilst this position will be a member of the Management Team and have a strong level of influence and visibility, you'll also have lots of day to day financial responsibility.
Main duties include:
* Responsibility for the forecasting of the business P&L, balance sheet and inventory position
* Member of the Management Team, supporting setting the strategic direction of the business
* Closure and sign off for the financial statements at month and year end
* Prepare and present at Board Meetings
* Provide strategic analysis to assist business planning and decision making
* Prepare budgets
* Manage all capital expenditure
* Develop direct reports through coaching and support
* Attend business review meetings with key stakeholders
Key skills and experience required:
* Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
* Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of accounting standards, coupled with impressive commercial awareness and proven business partnering
* Planning, budgeting and forecasting skills
* Proven track record shaping and delivering strategy
* Proactive and positive approach, track record of problem solving
* Ability to influence at all levels and build relationships with ease
* Proven leader, capable of managing a range of skills levels and backgrounds
* Strong industry experience gained in product/manufacturing related environments
