Hertfordshire

Vitae Financial Recruitment are proud to be partnering this scale-up group who are currently enjoying a period of rapid growth through acquisition and organic growth.
This is a pivotal role to support the growth of the business by ensuring that Financial Systems are fit of purpose, developed in-line with the growing needs of the business and assisting with the integration of acquisitions.

We are seeking an experienced systems accountant who has worked within a medium to large sized business ideally with some experience of integrations.

Responsibilities

Financial/Business Systems:
*Plan and execute business system transitions, working with three key stakeholders: Finance team, Operational/end user teams and IT Business Applications Manager and team.
*Project manage the financial transitions of a larger project (or a standalone project), working in conjunction with the Head of PMO.
*Produce detail process flows and maps of existing systems, understanding in detail all of the aspects of the system.
*Produce detailed process maps of new processes, along with detailed user guides.
*Undertake training of how to use the system with internal customers, and be the expert in the old and new system being transitioned.
*Where required, work with Financial, Planning & Analysis team to facilitate the required data being extracted from a system, to enable detail reporting to be undertaken.
*Project Manage system improvements / add on module to existing systems.

Business Integrations:

*Working with Group CFO/Group FD/Group F,P& A Director, understand and document the following aspects of the acquired finance team;
oFinance Team structure
oRoles and responsibilities of each person in the team
oUnderstanding of how finance interact with the other departments
oDelegate of authority
oKey systems and their use
oFinancial profitability of the business
oFacilitate obtaining required financial data to enable group financial reporting
*Produce a detailed project plan to transition from existing finance team into the central finance team.
*Produce recommendations on the finance team structure to remain post the integration into central functions
*Help Senior finance team to honestly and tactfully manage the transition.
*Project manage the transition, being the key conduit with the acquired operational, sales, other functional teams in relation to the financial needs of the business (in conjunction with Senior Finance Team).
Continuous Improvement
*Promote an environment of continuous improvement and innovation, to strive for a department that is fit for purpose.
*Improve and maintain internal controls and risk management processes as identified.
*Developing and strengthening internal controls, ensuring compliance and quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting in all duties.

To Apply applicants must have / be:
*Extensive previous experience of Financial Systems ideally with some integration experience.
*You will have a finance and accounting background ideally with an accountancy qualification
*Experience working within a fast paced medium to large sized business
*Change management experience
