Job Description
This is a newly created role, as a result of growth and will be at the centre of this expanding group. The role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the Groups internal and external reporting, supporting the Group Finance function with a particular focus on oversight and controls.
Main duties include:
* Implementing a program of controls across the Group
* Reviewing the key reconciliations across the Group
* Supporting with the accurate and timely production of regulatory reporting returns
* Supporting with the consolidation of Group P&L, cashflow and balance sheet on a monthly basis
* Supporting a strong control environment
* Reviewing and updating group accounting policies
* Assisting the auditors
* Supporting the Group Finance team with half year and year end consolidation for statutory reporting
* Supporting with acquisition accounting
Key skills & experience required:
* ACA/ACCA qualified
* Audit experience would be preferred, otherwise coming from a strong accounting/controls background
* High level of attention to detail
* Proactive and positive approach to problem solving
* Good Excel skills
* Confident and credible character, capable of building relationships cross-functionally
