Group Accounting Manager
Watford, Hertfordshire
£65,000 - £75,000 + bonus and benefits package.

Our client, a highly successful corporate entity with a progressive but structured approach, is looking to source the capabilities of a finance professional with proven technical ability, to ensure the timely production of high-quality Consolidated Financial Statements during the half-year and year-end process.

The role, will allow for a technical specialist to flourish in an environment which allows for both mentoring and autonomy, and gives the chance to pick up new expertise on an ongoing basis. The role is fluid and thus will change over time, but the initial brief will include oversight of financial accounting matters across the Group and providing support and advice to Senior Management and Executives within Head Office. Key specifics:

- Plan, communicate and effectively execute the production of IFRS Consolidated Financial Statements and Interim reports during the year-end and half-year reporting periods respectively.
- Production of the FRS101 Statutory accounts for all UK legal entities.
- Leading the planning and preparation of the Annual and Interim external audit,
including provision of detailed audit packs.
- Provide technical accounting support, training, and assistance across the Group including key technical accounting support for the planning and implementation of a new financial consolidation system.
- Responsible for Group accounting matters such as share based payments, UK defined benefit pensions, goodwill impairment analysis, acquisition accounting and supporting the Treasury team with derivative accounting.
- Periodic review of IFRS16 accounting across the Group and maintaining up to date detailed schedules for the significant leases.
- Oversee and plan for the impact of changes in future accounting and reporting standards.
- Enhance and streamline accounting processes across the Group and within the Head Office.
- Review the monthly management accounts and Group forecast processes to ensure compliance with Group Accounting Policies.

In addition to the above, the successful candidate will be up to date with new financial reporting and compliance guidelines.
