Job Description
Main duties include:
* Leading a small team, covering financial accounts, management accounts, AP, AR and payroll
* Owning the audit relationship with external auditors at half and full year end
* Working with external tax advisors
* Reviewing processes and controls; leading a project to add improvements or replace the finance systems, ensuring processes are as automated as possible and fit for purpose
* Monthly reporting to the Board
* Technical expertise and ensuring compliance on all new and existing accounting standards
Key skills & experience required:
* Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA
* Experience managing and developing a team
* Excellent organisational and planning skills
* Solid financial accounting knowledge, with exposure to IFRS16
* Examples to date of process improvements and demonstrating initiative
* Positive and proactive approach to problem solving
* Confident and credible character, can build relationships with ease
