Job Description
Reporting to the MD and Group CFO, the Financial Controller is responsible for the day to day operations of the Finance Team: preparing budgets and forecasts, preparing and overseeing the management accounts and other periodic financial reports.
Main duties include:
* Preparing the annual budget, monthly forecast, monthly balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow forecasts
* Preparing management accounts
* Managing and reporting of the cashflow position
* Analysing cost performance
* Ensure correct accounting processes are in place and comply with accounting rules
* Support the audit process
* Contributing to the company financial strategy and decision-making process
* Supervising, training and developing a team of two
Key skills & experience required:
* Ideally ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified, although Part-Qualified with appropriate experience will be considered
* Proven longevity in service
* Highly IT literate (Excel)
* Experience of supporting Directors on financial and business performance issues driving performance.
* Strong business acumen, along with the ability to influence at all levels.
* Recommends appropriate strategies maintaining controls and the application of best practice for internal controls.
* Can demonstrate budgetary controls including people and resource management.
