Job Description
This is also a 'hands-on' role in terms of management accounts and statutory production, involving some balance sheet reconciliations and IFRS16 understanding and application. Leading and mentoring the team is also crucial, so candidates must be confident managers with a keen interest in others development.
Main duties:
* Leading a team of 5 covering financial accounting, AP, AR, banking and payroll process
* Running the month end process and reviewing the management accounts on a monthly basis
* Control and lead all financial processes and systems
* Producing and reviewing the statutory accounts
* Leading the year end and half year audits
* Owning the balance sheet reconciliations
* Preparing and submitting VAT returns
* Cashflow forecasting and treasury management
Skills & experience required:
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified
* Excellent organisation and planning skills, can work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Strong Financial accounting and controls experience, IFRS16 an advantage
* Proactive and positive approach to problem solving
* Confident communicator, adept at building relationships
* Proven leader and people-manager
* Credible and charismatic character
