Financial Controller
£65,000 - £75,000 + excellent benefits

An excellent opportunity for an ambitious, commercially-minded individual to join a highly successful business within the retail sector.

The role is responsible for assisting with the co-ordination and management of the Treasury function and also for various month end accounting tasks and activities. Additionally manage a financial analyst and work closely with other members of the Financial Control team. The Financial Controller will assist the Financial Control team and wider Finance Department as required with various ad hoc financial accounting, analytical and reporting tasks.

Main Responsibilities
* Manage the day-to-day financial accounting function
* Produce accurate and timely monthly consolidated management accounts
* Manage the year end audit process ensuring accounts are prepared and filed within Group deadlines
* Lead the process of year-end Tax pack preparation and Statutory accounts
* Responsibility for the Financial control environment
* Review & identify areas of improvement in financial processes, controls & reporting
* Maintain cashflow forecasting
* Manage intercompany and cross border transactions
* Ensure monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
* Prepare a complete annual audit file for presentation to the company's auditors

Key responsibilities:
* The efficient use of accounting system (Oracle)
* To co-ordinate workload to achieve complimentary and competing deadlines.
* To drive improvements in all areas
* To ensure that processes are scalable with the expansion of the business.

Requirements
* Must be qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
* Experience of Oracle;
* Good knowledge of VAT, PAYE & travel expense compliance;
* Experience of intercompany transactions;
* Demonstrable experience of managing a Finance Department;
* Exposure to working within a global organisation;
* Excellent experience using Excel for analysis and forecasting;
