Financial Controller, London (Hybrid Working)
£70- £75kpa Plus Benefits Inc 10% Bonus

Our client, a private equity owned brand with an instantly recognisable brand are looking to bring on board a well-rounded Financial Controller. The Financial Controller will own full month end and financial accounting responsibilities alongside managing the management accounts team. The role involves hands on technical accounting, management accounting and performance management. You will work closely with Commercial Finance, Operations and other departments / functions to own the numbers for their area of responsibility.
You are expected to support the Finance team by producing accurate and timely numbers, with detailed understanding of the drivers of those results. Good communication skills are essential, as is a desire to progress in a fast-paced environment

Main Duties:
* Ownership of full month end management accounting; including maintenance of general ledger, month-end close, production of reporting, accruals and prepayments management, and analysis of monthly trading.
* Improve the month-end reporting process to enable complete close and production of management accounts with comparison with budgets and prior year.
* Provide financial accounting and management reporting support to various divisions, prepare monthly performance report, discuss and understand variances against budget/forecast and present results on a monthly basis to the Executive Team.
* Manage full overheads actual reporting and budget/forecast process - including balance sheet and month end reconciliation reports and financial controls.
* Ownership of the controls environment to ensure that all key business areas have robust finance and business controls in place and are reviewed regularly.
* Participate in business strategy, forecasting, building dashboards, improving internal communications.
* Supporting the Finance Director to produce annual budget, 4-year plan and quarterly forecast process.
* Assist with accounting and integration of new partner deals and acquisitions.
* Deliver successful audit - working with audit partners, Finance Director and CFO to achieve this outcome.
* Manage intercompany to support the Group's aim of minimising reconciled entries monthly.
* Continuously review and seek to identify process improvements for managed accounts.
* Analysis and communication of business performance to non-finance stakeholders and management team, including Directors for the business area.
* Monitoring and management of the group's liquidity and funding positions.
* Reporting of risks and ops for business areas in-conjunction with the Commercial Finance team.

The successful candidate will be of graduate calibre, fully qualified (ACA/ACCA) and have demonstrable areas in the above/ having a desire to develop skills to achieve the above.
