Central London (50% Office / 50% Remote)
Circa £70,000 + Benefits

The Role

Reporting into our Head of Finance you will hold a pivotal role owning internal and external reporting to the UK Management Board and the Global CFO including P&L, balance sheet and cashflow. You will lead the month-end close for the UK business, collaborating with internal non-financial stakeholders whilst managing a team of 2 lead roles.

You will be responsible for key controls and processes and will work closely with all areas of the business to provide accurate and detailed variance analysis, striving to improve accuracy and timeliness of reporting processes at both the local and global level.

You will find and implement solutions on complex issues (both financial and operational) with a constant mindset of continuous improvement e.g. day to day efficiency gains, internal control improvements and month end close process, tech/tool enhancements.

In Detail

*Ownership and leading the month-end close process, including producing the senior management and global reporting pack.
*Management and full reconciliation of the Order to Cash process for the UK.
*Revenue reconciliation and recognition topics.
*Manage cash flow forecasting and reporting process.
*Review of weekly cost reporting to group stakeholders.
*Complete regular Balance sheet reviews, whilst improving processes.
*Manage the accounts payable processes and liaise with global Oracle systems team
*Manage quarterly stock audit's, liaising with operations.
*Oversight of the indirect purchase order process.
*Reviewing and approving weekly payments.
*Management of the Internal Audit process including report findings, liaising with senior internal stakeholders to ensure internal control best practice.
*Management of the external audit process.
*Review of monthly VAT declarations.
*Maintaining a close relationship with our internal and external tax advisors to ensure that local processes, such as VAT returns and employee expense claims, are in line with local regulations.
*Completion of quarterly CIT/DTA calculations (with support from group).
*Completion of statutory account filings (with support from group).

What we are looking for

*Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA) Ideally 2-3 years post qualification with some industry experience preferred
*Sounds technical skills including knowledge of IFRS, taxation and VAT. Please note that although we require someone with sound technical skills the global team will deal with more in-depth technical issues.
*Ideally you will have previous experience of month-end reporting.
*Whilst the UK business is approaching revenues of £500M already previous experience within a start-up operation would be advantageous.
*Previous experience within Audit or managing external auditors would be highly advantageous.
*The ability to work within a rapidly growing environment where there will be a level of ambiguity.
*Drive to continuously improve and build process, controls and systems.
*Highly organised, proactive, adaptable and able to work independently
*Knowledge of Oracle would be advantageous but not a necessity
*A natural team player who enjoys leading their team and getting the best out of others within a collaborative culture
*Credibility to present to global stakeholders and challenge constructively
