Finance Analyst
Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire
£23-28 per hour + benefits
6 month contract

An interesting contract role has become available at a global healthcare company based in Hertfordshire, for an experienced Financial Analyst to join on a 12 month basis to provide analytical support to contribute towards delivering the company's financial goals. Experience in a similar role will be required so that the successful candidate can be fully up to speed immediately after joining.

Job responsibilities
The job will involve a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities including, but not limited to:
* Provide analytical support to contribute towards delivering the company's financial goals
* Contribute towards the allocation of funds for projects, keeping within agreed company budgets
* Prepare and deliver cost reports which include forecasting
* Identify improvements which increase efficiency and successfully implement where necessary
* Develop relationships with internal colleagues and external vendors in order to provide detailed financial analysis and find solutions for issues which arise

Summary of role
* Contribute to the creation and preparation of business reports which include details of results, projections and analyses to support company objectives
* Assistance with month end reports, balance sheet reviews, forecasts and the annual budget
* Liaise with other cross functional teams in the creation of budgets, forecasts and reports for management
* Ensure compliance with all quality and control requirements
* Regularly track and report overall performance to support the decision-making process
* Help with GAAP compliance and the company's corporate policies, and ensure that documentation is maintained for internal/external audits
* Recognise and escalate any issues as they arise, and advise Financial leaders where necessary
* Contribute to process improvement, policy development and any systems changes, working closely with Financial leaders in doing so

Knowledge & experience
* Familiarity with financial and operational processes
* Understanding of financial regulations
* Experience in analysis and reporting
* Excellent business and financial skills, including sound business insight
* Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
* Project management experience
* Strong communication
* Ability to make rapid, disciplined decisions
* Personality which can drive results while maintaining integrity/ethics at all times
