Our client, a highly regarded entity in it's specialised field, is seeking a talented and driven Financial Accountant to help achieve company goals, implement effective policies, and ensure sound financial operations.
As a Financial Accountant, your principal duties will involve managing and reviewing nominal ledgers, reconciling trial balances, and monitoring day-to-day financial activities across multiple projects. You will have the opportunity to deliver comprehensive financial management through efficient controls, strategic business performance measures, and meticulous financial planning.
Responsibilities:
* Manage and review nominal ledgers, ensuring accurate reconciliation of trial balances for multiple projects.
* Monitor day-to-day financial operations, including bank and loan reconciliations, posting invoices, and processing transactions.
* Deliver comprehensive financial management through effective controls, business performance measures, and strategic financial planning.
* Review financial data and generate monthly and ad-hoc reports, collaborating with commercial teams to ensure accurate forecasting.
* Minimise financial risk by preparing cashflow forecasts and managing CIS/VAT returns.
Requirements:
* Part-qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, or AAT) with a strong background in financial and management accounting.
* Previous experience in the construction industry (preferred, but not essential).
* Excellent communication skills, with a friendly and welcoming approach and a professional telephone manner.
* Strong literacy, numeracy, and attention to detail.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
* Knowledge of Xero (Sage Line 50 is desirable but not critical).
* Outstanding organisational skills, ability to prioritise tasks, and work independently.
* Trustworthy, punctual, flexible, and enjoys working as part of a team.
* Maintains high-quality standards of dress, presentation, attitude, and guest care.
