This is a rare opportunity, as the client are considering a part-time option, c4 days with the potential to reduce further should the successful candidate be able to maintain a high standard of work and meet deadlines.
As the Finance Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the business and managing all aspects of management and financial accounting. This is a hands-on role that involves overseeing customer service, finance-related duties, and strategic partnering with the UK & Ireland Leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage Team: Lead and manage a small team (1 direct report) to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the business for the UK & Ireland.
* Financial Management: Oversee the financial and administrative management of the P&L and Balance Sheet for the UK & Ireland, including budgets, latest estimates, 5 Year Plans, and monthly reporting.
* Working Capital: Maintain Net Working Capital and cash flow in proportion to the needs of the business.
* Customer Service: Ensure exceptional customer service and effective partnering with the management team.
* Contractual Agreements: Take overall responsibility for overseeing contractual agreements, including IT equipment, and ensure they are available and fit for purpose.
* Ad Hoc Projects: Lead ad hoc projects aimed at improving and developing the entire function.
* Supply Chain Management: Manage supply chain activities, including the importation of goods, in compliance with regulations
* Financial Transactions: Process credit/debit/unbilled items, statutory accounts, VAT, and tax returns accurately and on time, while also handling SAP updates for various financial transactions.
* Finance Function: Be involved in all areas of the finance function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, treasury, expenses processing, and reporting.
* Compliance: Ensure adherence to Finance and Data Protection regulations.
* Business Systems: Be the go-to person for in-depth understanding of Finance systems and processes. Act as a key user of finance and customer service systems, maintaining accounting records and providing management information via Business Intelligence, SAP/SAC and other transactional systems.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA
* Proven experience in financial management and a strong financial accounting foundation
* Strong knowledge of finance systems and processes, including SAP.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
