Vitae are delighted to be exclusively partnering a major international retail brand in their search for a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, Retail. This role is responsible for the end-to-end financial management of the Retail EMEA channels including stores, concessions, and e-commerce site.
This position reports directly to the CFO, EMEA and will work together with key business partners and Senior Management to support the group's baseline financial operations including responsibility for budgeting and long-range planning, forecasting, and month end close activities.

Key Duties:-
* Responsible for close activities, forecasting, annual long-range planning/budgeting, and on-going reporting for the retail channels across the end-to-end P&L.
* Lead partner to Head of Stores and Head of Digital as well as Regional Managing Directors (for retail channels).
* Oversee all month end close processes and variance analyses; ensure accuracy of financial statements and communicate results to management in a clear and timely manner.
* Responsible for partnering with business to define strategies and investment portfolio across real estate (new stores, renovations, closures), technology roadmap, and other key capital & opex investments.
* Proactively analyze and assess business risks and opportunities to drive operational and financial performance and deliver against targets.
* Establish and maintain strong business partnerships across divisional finance teams to promote teamwork and organizational alignment including sharing best practices across divisions.
* Anticipate needs of business partners and prioritize efforts to deliver results; support ad hoc reporting requests from business and consolidation team.
* Responsible for preparation of decks for management reviews including forecasts.
* Mentor and train junior members of the team, providing support and guidance as appropriate.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive and innovative financial professional with the ability to multi-task with a high degree of analytical proficiency and integrity. Position requires strong foundational knowledge and experience in finance/accounting and a firm understanding of Retail concepts. A retail background is a pre-requisite for this role. The brand offers good flexibility with hybrid working in place (circa 2/3 days in the office and the rest remotely).
