Job Description

Our client, a dynamic employer of choice with a fantastic retention rate, due to consistent talent planning and reward, is looking to hire a credible and commercially astute Commercial Finance Manager in this rare, non BAU role. The role will have a direct report and be an ideal role for a commercially astute accountant looking to kick-start their career in a real with real autonomy and scope to add value.

As a Commercial Finance Manager you main duties include:
* Business partnering commercial teams, including forecasting and analysis for revenue stream and supporting managements in tracking and analysing the impact of new initiatives and business cases
* Coordinating and managing forecast submission from the various finance teams and preparing high level summaries to present to the Commercial Director and Head of Commercial Finance outlining performance
* Owning and managing the reporting to the central team, ensuring detailed variance analysis and explanations of movements from forecast
* Working cross-functionally to set up and drive forward new performance reporting, tracking vs business case and ensuring end to end view of profitability is recorded
* Setting up the end to end P&L reporting and forecasting of new and developing revenue streams, to drive forward the growth of this area and deliver to its business case targets.
* Accountable You will be accountable for all areas of commercial performance and provide FP&A and your stakeholders in the business with comprehensive insight into the monthly performance, tracking and highlighting any risks and opportunities as they arise.
* Mentoring and developing 1 direct report
* Ownership of the 3-year strategic plan and budgeting and support each area with financial analysis of key issues and alternatives.

Key skills & experience required:
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified
* Experience of partnering with senior stakeholders
* Ability to deal with significant complexity and ambiguity
* Strong analytical and numerical reasoning skills
* Strong communicator and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset
* Proactive attitude and approach - operating with high curiosity
* Strong systems and process skills
* A general appetite to broaden knowledge of the tour operator / industry from differing perspectives
* Comfortable proposing and facilitating change through challenging the status quo and continually looking to improve
